The filtration system that uses ultraviolet rays can disinfect water in a short amount of time. However, they cannot remove organic particles, inorganic components, contaminants, and sterilized microorganisms. Therefore, UV water purifiers are usually used with a reverse osmosis.

A reverse osmosis system is most efficient at eliminating the contaminants from water. It can also reduce the water’s hardness by cutting down on excessive magnesium and calcium salts. Furthermore, this system can purify water with heavy fluoride and chlorine, as well as water contaminated with heavy metals.
